Summer Wonder Festival 2013
Yesterday I had a chance to stop by the Makuhari Convention center in Chiba to check out what Japan’s Wonder Festival was all about. The convention focuses on figures and lots of companies had booths set up to reveal upcoming releases. However, there were many other things being showcased and sold including steam punk gear, a giant King Ghidorah marionette, and some damn creepy statues to name a few. The halls also had some elaborate anime decorations (like the wall from Shingeki no Kyojin) and there was an anime concert at the end of the day. And of course, wherever crowds of otaku gather, cosplayers are not far behind.
I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have but I’ll make up for it with the world’s first Wonder Fest cosplay music video (coming soon)!
For now, check out these snaps, both wonderful and weird.
