Tokyo Game Show 2015 Coverage! -Virtual Reality Takeover-
Your summer lesson awaits you…inside your own private virtual island! And don’t worry, you won’t be alone…
RtP! made it out to the Tokyo Game Show again this year to provide some ever-excellent coverage of some of the exciting sights and sounds at the event. This year we even had our very own translator to help with some interviews with Japanese developers. Check out the video below for a collaborative episode taking you inside the action!
Some highlights include a cyber punk bar-tending action game called VA-11 HALL-A, a quick Bloodborne boss battle showdown to win some T-shirts, and a frighteningly futuristic VR game called Summer Lesson. A game about spending your time with a beautiful young student and all the possibilities that that may involve…right in your private virtual world.
Seagz and b-rock provide some hipster fashion commentary during the Cosplay Collection night, a special after-show stage presentation featuring cosplay skits and dances. And Lost Link just released his cosplay showcase music video for all to enjoy.
There was a Metal Gear Solid fan gathering in the cosplay area. They painted a “We Love MGS” banner and took a group picture as a small thank-you to Hideo Kojima.
The event space itself was extremely crowded but still filled with spectacle with major booths displaying extravagant statues and setups. FFXIV had a giant airship, Biohazard had an airsoft zombie shooting range and Xperia had bikini girls bathing in a see-through bathtub!
Despite the silver week crowds and long lines, it was a fun experience and we continue to recommend it to visitors from all over!
