First off I’d like to give a big thanks to Spazzerbot Cosplay for her wonderful work as the Journey cosplayer in this video. Not only was her outfit incredible but she gladly marched off into the snow with me to film “on location”. Like last year’s Ico shoot, filming outside allowed for some great backgrounds that evoked the game world. In this case…the snowy mountain ending of Journey.
Of course thanks to all the other cosplayers that came together for this. Entire Chrono Trigger cast amiright?!
This one took awhile to edit. Mostly because I thought I wouldn’t have enough footage to fill the whole song. But then I ended up finding enough…for two songs. Thus let the slow paced DRAMA and incredible dancing begin.
It’s a new year and RtP! has some big plans for 2013. We’re starting off by taking over two American conventions early in the year. We’re hosting panels, crafting cosplay and being cool. We’re also looking forward to what 2013 will hold for video games as players and developers continue to discover new ways of exploring storytelling in games.
RtP! discusses the POWER OF MUSIC in video games! How does it affect characters and story? Does it actually make them better? We also give our TOP 10 favorite tracks!
RtP! discusses plot twists in video games. Which ones surprised us and which ones were predictable? Which ones were interesting and which were complete garbage?
With CUTSCENES and special guest Xinity!
Mega spoilers for Assassin’s Creed, Persona 3/4, Metal Gear Solid, Knights of the Old Republic, Final Fantasy X, Heavy Rain, Chrono Trigger, System Shock, Ghost Trick, Red Dead Redemption, The Walking Dead.
It’s RtP’s first casual podcast in which we discuss a host of topics including Resident Evil 6 and what makes games scary; the importance of playing old games, Guild Wars 2, Fan Expo adventures, the new Metal Gear Solid game, and b-rock’s artsiness!
It`s the final Anime North post! (maybe). We vlog our trip in a comprehensive half hour podcast thing. Cosplay, lines, masquerades, lines, injuries, lines, fan recognition, panels, pictures, shout-outs and more lines!
That’s right! If you’re in the downtown area May 25-27 you just might be one of the 20,000 people attending this year’s Anime North, Toronto’s weekend-long super-anime-enthusiast convention. And this year Rescue the Princess! is hosting a discussion panel on Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.
Stop by our very own Velvet Room to hear and participate in some sophisticated babble on the game’s story, themes and characters. We may even touch upon the recent anime adaptation! Maybe. So if you’re headed to Anime North this year, check your programming schedule and visit us for some BRILLIANT insight, cosplay and prizes. Prizes??
If you’re not into P4 or our panel doesn’t fit into your schedule and you really, really want an autograph, you may be able to catch us roaming around the parking lot…as the cast from Ghost Trick.
UPDATE. Panel location and time: Sunday May 27th. Sheraton, Niagara Room. 5pm.

It’s also Lost Link’s birthday but who cares because all he played was Persona 4 and no other Megaten. Also Yukiko can’t compare to Teddie, NOT ONE BIT.

I am the Fool. I blend into the crowds. In high school I spent my lunches and spare periods playing cards in the cafeteria, gaming in the computer lab and hanging out with the smokers in the parking lot. Each area belonged to a certain type of crowd. I was welcomed into each but belonged to none. After school I played basketball or drums in the band. I waited for Mark to finish his shift in the grocery department and held Amy’s bags as she shopped for clothes. In the evenings I watched game shows with my little cousin and discussed the news with my uncle. I remember, one afternoon, during the shuffling between classes, I was stopped by Spencer, one of my school’s notorious “tough-guys”. For a moment he just stared at me, saying nothing.
